As the festive season approaches, not everyone wants to make a loud entrance. Some prefer to light up Diwali in a cleaner way, through the hum of electric power. EVs today have gone far beyond just being eco-friendly; they are sleek, loaded with features that can make even a petrolhead grin.
So, in the spirit of celebration, we have rounded up some of the coolest EVs from both the two and four-wheeler spaces that blend style with sustainability. Think of them as “silent firecrackers”, machines that skip the noise but still leave an impression on the road.
MG’s latest arrival in India is anything but ordinary. The Cyberster, a convertible electric roadster from the brand, proves that open-top motoring and sustainability can coexist. Its design feels modern, with scissor doors, sweeping LED light signatures, and a low, sporty stance.
Under the skin, it’s no slouch either. With up to 544 PS on tap from its dual-motor setup, the Cyberster can do 0–100 kmph in under 3.2 seconds. The instant torque and low driving position make it feel responsive and engaging on the road. If Diwali is about shining bright, the Cyberster definitely knows how to steal the spotlight.

The Ather 450 Apex proves that even scooters can light up the festive season! It’s the kind of two-wheeler that zips through city streets quicker than you can say “Pataka!” - all while staying whisper quiet. With its Warp+ mode, this electric wonder delivers instant torque that’ll have you grinning wider than a kid holding a box of sparklers.
Its claimed top speed of 100kmph, razor-sharp handling, and tons of features make it as high-tech as it is fun. And since it’s all-electric, it celebrates Diwali the right way — full of speed, sparkle, and zero smoke. Think of it as your personal eco-friendly pocket rocket, ready to go “whoosh!” without waking the neighbours.

The Mahindra BE 6 is a glimpse of how far Indian carmakers' design has come in the EV segment. With a coupe-inspired silhouette and sharp body lines, the BE 6 presents a bold appearance. It features a connected LED taillight spanning the width of the rear, emphasising its futuristic design.
The 285 PS and 380 Nm electric motor setup delivers powerful acceleration, with instant torque typical of EVs, making it responsive and engaging to drive. It has a claimed range of up to 682 km, while 0-100 kmph takes just 6.7 seconds. With its combination of size, performance, and modern styling, the BE6 offers a practical yet contemporary option for those looking for a capable electric SUV.

Diwali might be all about lights and loud bangs, but who says you can’t celebrate with something a little cleaner? Enter the Ultraviolette F77, India’s very own electric firecracker that goes boom without a puff of smoke! Its futuristic design language is straight out of a sci-fi movie.
But don’t be fooled by its silent nature. This electric beast packs 30.2kW, and a jaw-dropping 100Nm of torque at the wheel - enough to launch you from 0-100kmph in a claimed 7.8 seconds! It’s got the performance to make your heart race, and the conscience to keep the air clean for your diyas.

Few EVs have managed to strike a balance between performance and design as gracefully as the Kia EV6. Even in its current form, it continues to grab attention with its sloping roofline, sharp body lines, and connected tail lamps. Inside, you get a dual-display layout, leatherette seat upholstery and a 14-speaker Meridian audio system.
The EV6 features an 84 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of up to 663 km, and can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.3 seconds. It also supports 800V fast-charging technology, enabling charging at speeds of up to 350 kW. This allows the battery to go from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

All-in-all, if you are looking for an EV to light up your garage this Diwali, then these cars and bikes should definetly be on your list!
