MG’s second lag in India has begun, and it is a more premium and high-end one when compared to their mass market range of cars. Just days after launching the M9 at almost Rs 70 lakh, the automaker has now launched the Cyberster at Rs 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom). For those who have pre-booked the car, the Cyberster can be had for Rs 72.49 lakh. The Cyberster is an electric sportscar that will be sold through the ‘Select’ dealership chain of MG. Deliveries begin from August 10, 2025.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at all the details of the Cyberster…
The Cyberster’s sports car silhouette and eye-catching design language will raise questions on the road. While some folks might look at each other and ask “This car might be costing a few crores, right?, and some vloggers might end up asking the “What do you do for a living?” question.

The Cyberster is a head-turner, and its modern and quirky styling will make you look at the car for a while after you park it. The highlight of the design remains the convertible roof and scissor doors which will remind you of some iconic supercars. Other key design elements include the swept-back LED headlights, the long and nicely sculpted bonnet and the sporty 20-inch dualtone alloy wheels. Moreover, its arrow-shaped LED tail lights add a modern effect.

Colour options include: Nuclear Yellow with black roof, Flare Red with black roof, Andes Grey with red roof and Modern Beige with red roof
If you purchase the Cyberster, you will of course spend most of your time in the driver’s seat, and you are going to love it. The welcome through the scissor doors will feel like a unique experience, and then the fighter jet-inspired cockpit will leave you impressed. It comes with not one or two, but four screens offering a completely upmarket experience.

The driver gets a chunky three-spoke steering wheel, which comes with joystick controls and many buttons which might look confusing at the beginning. Sportscars have paddle shifters for a more immersive experience, but this one uses them for adjusting the modes of regenerative braking.
Apart from the abovementioned screen, it comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, 6-way electrically adjustable heated seats with memory function, power windows and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. The safety kit includes four airbags, TPMS, electronic stability control and level-2 ADAS features.

The Cyberster is blistering quick, capable of going from 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. So if you are waiting at the signal, nothing’s going to catch you, unless someone in a Lamborghini Revuelto or Ferrari SF90 Stradale joins you. Yes, we have to give examples of supercars when we talk about the Cyberster.

It comes with a 77 kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 580 km (MIDC claimed), the numbers are impressive for a car that’s meant to be driven fast. The 510 PS/725 Nm dual electric motors provide supercar-level performance without a lot of drama. The top speed is limited to 200 kmph.

The Cyberster won’t have any direct rivals in the EV space, but can be considered as an electric alternative to the BMW Z4 which costs around Rs 1 crore on road.
If you are planning to get the Cyberster, you will have to first consult your wife or parents, as it is not something that is family-friendly. It is more of a personal indulgence, and a very exciting one. The highlight remains its supercar-level performance, breathtaking design and sophisticated interior. The Cyberster will also help in establishing a different image for MG in India. Most Indians won’t realize that is an MG, because it's nowhere close to what the existing MG lineup has been. EV enthusiasts would love to own one, and it is something that even the petrolheads would find hard to ignore.
