Nissan Magnite facelift spied testing
Likely to get fresh lighting elements along with a tweaked grille and bumper
Could pack new features like a bigger touchscreen system and a fully digital driver’s display
Powertrains likely to be carried over unchanged
Launch likely later in 2024
Nissan India’s entire hope, its entire bread and butter – for now – lies on the shoulders of one car: the Magnite sub-4m SUV. It has been in the country since December 2020 and has only had a few minor updates ever since. But it seems like a facelift is right on the horizon as a test mule has been spied for the first time.
The papped test mule was draped entirely in camouflage, and as a result, not much can be deciphered from the images. The overall shape seems to be the same. Considering it is a facelift and not a new-gen model, we expect revisions to its lighting setup, grille, bumpers, and alloy wheels.

The roof spoiler and the rear wiper has been retained along with the shark fin antenna. However, it looks like the LED tail lamps now have a clear lens. There are no images of the cabin yet, but Nissan could offer a slightly revised dashboard layout, likely with a larger infotainment system and a more upmarket digital driver’s display.
For its current price, the Magnite comes across as a rather feature-loaded offering, and we expect the facelift to build on it even further with new features. New kit could include new, bigger digital screens, six airbags, and an auto IRVM (inside rear-view mirror).

It already packs features like an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, a JBL sound system, keyless entry and an air purifier.

We expect things to remain unchanged in the powertrain department. The Magnite facelift should retain the current model’s 72 PS/96 Nm 1-litre naturally aspirated (5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT) engine and the 100 PS/152 Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol engine (5-speed MT and CVT).

The launch of the Nissan Magnite facelift could take place later in 2024. Prices are likely to see a bump, considering it’ll come packing new features. The current Magnite retails between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 11.27 lakh (ex-showroom). It’ll continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, and Renault Kiger.
