Maruti Suzuki has undoubtedly been the most successful car maker in India yet. The carmaker has broken many records in the past and this time they have created a new record of crossing 3 crore production units in 40 years and 4 months since they started manufacturing cars in December 1983.

The Indian carmaker has two manufacturing facilities: one at Gurugram, Haryana and the other at Hansalpur, Gujarat. Since the start of the production in 1983, Maruti Suzuki’s India operations are the fastest among other Suzuki production bases to achieve this production milestone.
More than 2.68 crore vehicles have been manufactured at the Haryana-based facilities, and over 32 lakh units were produced at Suzuki Motor Gujarat, a wholly owned subsidiary of MSIL.

Over the years, Maruti Suzuki has given us many iconic products like the Maruti 800, Esteem, Baleno, Alto, Grand Vitara and the Kizashi.
