It has now become a known fact that Mahindra has a special connection with Independence Day, as the Indian marque loves to launch and reveal its new cars on the auspicious day. Last year, it was the Mahindra Thar Roxx’s launch, and this year too there will be plenty of excitement. What we know so far is that the popular carmaker will be revealing four of its concept cars on August 15, 2025. These four cars were recently teased as well, and here’s everything you need to know about them ahead of their official unveiling…
Starting alphabetically, we have the Vision S which as the initial suggests could be a future-generation version of the Scorpio. From what we could decode from the teaser, it looks like a muscular SUV with a flat bonnet and an upright fascia. It can also be seen with bonnet scoops, something that is offered with the Scorpio Classic. Mahindra could either be extending the Scorpio lineup which currently comprises the Classic and N models, or it could be a completely revamped version of the Classic which has started to look outdated when compared to modern-day SUVs.

The Vision S could likely be offered with both ICE and EV powertrains, and will be built on Mahindra’s new flexible platform. An electric Scorpio doesn’t really sound right, but with the market evolving, the Scorpio also needs to and an EV alternative might appeal to a larger set of buyers.
We suspect the Vision SXT to be the much more evolved version of the pickup truck concept Mahindra showcased in 2023. We believe it could be an extended version of the upcoming Vision S model, offered in a pickup truck form. Exterior styling to interior layout could be similar to the upcoming Scorpio model. Like the Vision S, the SXT could also be offered in an electric avatar.

However, its design preview in the teaser looks similar to the Vision T which keeps an open possibility of it being a pickup truck based on the Thar. A pickup truck version of the Scorpio N Vs that of the Thar! Which one would look cooler? Let us know in the comments section.
The Vision T will likely belong to the Thar family, probably the electric version of the popular SUV. The Thar.e was showcased in the concept form in 2023. The squarish bonnet, flared wheel arches and off-road tyres further hint that it could be the Thar.e. In fact, even the wiper design looks like it belongs to a rugged off-roader. While the previously showcased version was a complete concept car, the one that will be revealed on August 15 could be very similar to the production-spec version. Over the Thar Roxx, it could get some EV-specific styling bits and we expect it to offer a claimed range of over 400 km.

The Vision X takes a different approach. It doesn't have a very rugged or off-road focused design, but rather has a more city-friendly and sophisticated styling. Its sharp styling and cuts and creases and creases on the bonnet give it an athletic look, and we suspect that it could belong to the XUV family. It can be a completely new version of the XUV 3XO, electric or even hybrid for that matter. However, it could also be a new XUV Model.

Excitement is in the air, but so is a lot of uncertainty about Mahindra’s upcoming SUVs. One thing is for sure that we will be getting some really cool and future-proof cars from Mahindra, in both ICE and EV forms. Moreover, the debut of the new platform is also something that we are excited about, as it appears to be promising and offers capabilities of underpinning various types of SUVS.
