2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: Exterior
With this facelift, Hyundai has reworked the styling of the Verna. At the front, it gets a new bumper with a larger grille and a massive LED headlamp cluster which makes it look more aggressive.

The side profile still retains the ‘coupe-ish’ roofline and chrome door handles, but with a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels.

Move on to the rear-end, and it gets a new bumper here as well with an aggressive faux diffuser with silver inserts to increase its road presence. Besides this, it still retains the connected LED taillamp setup and a spoiler mounted on the boot lid.

Hyundai has also updated the colour palette of the Verna, with two new options called Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte. These will be offered in addition to the existing shades of Starry Night, Atlas White, Titan Grey and Titanium Black. The Atlas White shade can also be had with a dual-tone finish with a black roof.
2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: Interior
Move on inside, and the most noticeable change is a new steering wheel with the ‘four-dots’ Hyundai logo, which we have also seen in the Venue previously. However, it still retains the black and white cabin theme and the dual-screen setup for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster for a sporty feel.

Rear seat occupants still get a reasonably spacious experience and a centre armrest with cupholders. The new Verna also gets rear window sunshades as a key feature addition, which will be especially useful for chauffeur-driven buyers.

2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: Features
In terms of the equipment onboard, Hyundai has added a lot of new features such as a memory function for the 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, powered tailgate and a 4-way power-adjustable passenger seat. It also gets features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay (via wired-to-wireless adapter), 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, multi-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, automatic climate control and an air purifier.

2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: Safety
Safety-wise, the Verna has seen a huge jump with the addition of an inbuilt Dashcam, a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor and 7 airbags. This is in addition to other equipment like Level 2 ADAS, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Notably, it has also scored 5-stars at the Global NCAP crash tests.
2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Verna facelift remains identical to the pre-facelift version. It gets two engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. Both engines can be had with manual and automatic transmissions. Here are the figures of these powertrains:

2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: Rivals
The new Verna competes with other midsize sedans like the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus and the Skoda Slavia.
ZigSays…
The Verna name has always been a popular sedan for Hyundai, with a lot of buyers being loyal to the brand. However, lately with the incredible rise of SUVs in the last few years, the Verna has certainly felt the impact in sales figures. This facelift should do well to dial back in some of the mojo and bring an updated option for the handful of sedan buyers in the market today.
