Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts to launch on October 17.
Bookings for both the SUVs are already open.
Both get exterior tweaks, revised interior and new features.
The Harrier and Safari continue with the sole 2-litre diesel engine with 6-speed MT or AT.
We finally have a date! Tata will launch the Safari and Harrier facelifts in India on October 17. The facelifted SUVs just broke cover publicly and their pre-launch bookings are also open. The update includes changes to their exterior and interior design and addition of new features and technology. There are no changes to its powertrain options.
Both the Harrier and Safari have received revised grilles and bumper designs, along with a new connected LED DRL setup. Both get bigger, restyled 19-inch alloy, while at the rear, a connected LED taillight is common between the two. That said, the detailing of the lights and the rear bumpers are exclusive between the 2023 Harrier and Safari.
The revised interior includes the four spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo and touch sensitive buttons. The latter can also be found in the centre of the dashboard, used for HVAC controls. Their cabins can be had in different themes and colour shades that depend on the Persona (variant) chosen.

There are a bunch of new features added to their already expansive list, which includes a fully digital 10.25-inch driver's display, larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, knee airbag (totaling 7 airbags), powered tailgate with gesture-based opening, an updated JBL sound system and rear sunshades. They also get adaptive cruise control as part of their ADAS suite now.
Tata has retained the 170PS 2-litre diesel engine from the outgoing SUVs. It continues to be paired with either a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT. They still continue to be front-wheel driven SUVs.
Both the 2023 Harrier and Safari will likely to get a steeper price tag than their outgoing models, which were priced between Rs 15.19 lakh and Rs 24.26 lakh and Rs 15.84 lakh to Rs 25.21 lakh, respectively. The Harrier will continue its fight with the MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV700, while the Safari will rekindle its rivalry with the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Mahindra XUV700 in the market.
