Facelifted Kia Seltos’ New Teaser Drops Hint At Its New Pluton Blue Exterior Shade

UPDATE: Kia India has revealed the facelifted Seltos in India. 

• Facelifted Kia Seltos spied testing again. 

• To get a new Pluton Blue shade as seen in a teaser.

• The same shade is present on the global-spec model.

• Exterior changes include revised bumper, larger grille, reprofiled LED DRLs and connected tail lamps.

• New features onboard include panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and ADAS.

• Will debut tomorrow on July 4.

The facelifted Kia Seltos, with its first update since its inception, is going to debut tomorrow. So, understandably, its teaser campaign is in full swing and the latest one gives us a dekko at its new exterior shade that it’ll borrow from the global-spec model.

Called Pluton Blue, this light shade of blue is a novel shade for the Seltos nameplate and will now be available on the India-spec model as well. The outgoing Seltos is available in six monotone hues – Intense Red, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, and Imperial Blue – and there are three dual tone options available as well.

New options to the colour palette will be accompanied by some fresh styling cues, headlined by the bigger “Tiger Nose” grille, reprofiled LED DRLs, and connected taillights. It’ll even get changes to its front and rear bumper and the 18-inch alloys from the X-Line trim.

Thanks to a previous teaser, we got a look inside the cabin of the upcoming Seltos, which revealed an integrated panel for the new dual-display layout comprising the touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display. The facelifted compact SUV will also get new features like a panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control to go with that updated cabin, and there will also be a new 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol on offer. The current Kia Seltos is priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom), but brace for a price hike in the facelifted model for all the additional niceties. It’ll rekindle its fight with other compact SUVs like the Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross and the Honda Elevate.
