Kia Gives A Sneak Peek Of The 2023 Facelifted Seltos Ahead Of Its July 4 India Debut

UPDATE: Kia India has revealed the facelifted Seltos in India. 

• Facelifted Kia Seltos teased ahead of its July 4 debut. 
• Interior confirmed to get the dual 10.25-inch screens like the international model. 
• New features onboard include panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and ADAS. 
• It gets a larger grille, reprofiled LED DRLs, connected tail lamps and tweaked bumpers. 
• Prices are expected to be announced after its India debut.

Kia India has teased the 2023 Seltos ahead of its July 4 debut on our shores. This will be the first major midlife update for the nameplate which has been on sale since August 2019. The latest teaser gives us a first hand look at its interior of the top-spec trim. So without further ado, let’s get cracking. 

The teaser confirms that the India-spec Seltos will get the dual 10.25-inch screen comprising the digital driver’s display and touchscreen infotainment system. Its design and orientation is similar to the EV6, giving it a premium appeal. As a result of this new layout, the central AC vents are slimmer and below it are the controls for the dual-zone climate control.

As for its other new feature additions, the Seltos will get a panoramic sunroof and a whole suite of ADAS kit from the 2023 Verna. Bits such as a head-up display, Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, 360-degree camera, six airbags and electronic stability control should be carried forward. 

The teaser also gives us a look at its exterior design changes, which we already know thanks to plenty of shots of undisguised test mules. But here’s a quick brush up. The facelifted Seltos gets a larger Tiger Nose grille with revised inserts and reprofiled bumpers. It rolls on 18-inch alloys from the existing X-Line trim, while the rear-end gets connected LED tail lamps. Tweaked bumpers round off the overall design.

Prices are expected to be announced soon after debut and it could command a premium over the current model that starts from Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross as well as Honda Elevate.
