Rolls-Royce cars are known for their elegance and beauty, and the newly launched Spectre Black Badge does offer that, but there is something more to it! In the Black Badge version, it looks stealthy and mean, and the looks justify the fact that it is the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever!
This electric beauty can be yours for around Rs 9.5 crore (ex-showroom), but like me, if you, too, are just excited about cars and want to know more about this gorgeous beast, then read on as we provide you with all the details of the Spectre Black Badge!
Since it is the most powerful of the lot, we start with the powertrain specs! So the Spectre Black Badge boasts a familiar 102 kWh battery pack, and the luxury barge produces a staggering 659 PS and 1075 Nm. It is 75 PS more powerful than the standard Spectre, and offers 175 Nm more torque. The output is delivered to all four wheels, and with so much power at your disposal, it can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. It is expected to deliver a claimed range of up to 520 km.

The Spectre is also a special car, but looks even more impressive in the new Vapour Violet hue. While there are no changes to the design language, certain elements make the Black Badge look stealthier. It gets design bits like a blacked-out illuminated grill and a darkened Spirit of Ecstasy that gives the front end a sportier feel. The door handles and window surrounds are also black in colour, and that further adds to the stealth.

The Spectre Black Badge sits on 23-inch alloy wheels that can be opted for in either a full-black finish or part-polished design. There is no limit to customisations, as Rolls-Royce offers its buyers 44,000 different colour options for the Spectre Black Badge. However, if you are still not satisfied, you can collaborate with the Rolls-Royce designers to get your special colour.

Step inside and the cabin will give you the ultimate luxury experience, something that you will get from a 7-star hotel. It is the perfect combination of modern elegance with old-school charm, as it gets both large displays and well-curated and positioned physical buttons.

You are welcomed by the illuminated Black Badge treadplates (door sills), complementing its grille. Compared to the standard model, it gets special treatment with several blacked-out elements everywhere. The dashboard comes with an infinity symbol and a pattern of 5,500 stars, which keeps changing in size and intensity.

You might have heard about customising your interior theme and upholstery, but the Spectre Black Badge also offers five customizable colour themes for the digital driver’s display. The options include Vivid Grellow, Neon Nights, Ultraviolet, Cyan Fire, and Synth Wave.
Other niceties include a one-tap door open function, multi-zone climate control, massaging seats with heating and ventilation, and connected car technology.
The Black Badge comes at a premium of Rs 2 crore over the standard Spectre, which retails at Rs 7.5 crore (ex-showroom). An amount like Rs 2 crores might be someone’s lifetime earnings, but for the Adanis and Ambanis of the world, it won't really hurt the wallet. So for those wealthy buyers, picking the Black Badge over the regular version might not need a second thought.

The Spectre is an electric alternative to the Bentley Flying Spur and Bentley Continental.
