MG’s electric crossover SUV, the Windsor EV has been launched in India. It packs plenty of equipment including certain segment-first features, which help to set it apart and stand out from its competitors. One such competitor is the Tata Nexon EV, and in this article we have listed down the premium features that the Windsor EV offers over the Nexon EV. Here is the list:
The Windsor EV gets a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is larger than some of the laptops on sale in the market. The Nexon EV gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is also a fairly large infotainment system, but looks small in comparison with the Windsor EV. Both systems offer features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
In the Windsor, many other functions including your headlight settings can also be controlled from the infotainment unit.
The sunroof is a feature that is loved by us Indians and even more so if it's a panoramic glass roof which you get with the new MG EV. The Nexon EV gets a single-pane sunroof which does bring a sense of airiness, but lacks the wow factor that you get with the Windsor’s panoramic glass roof.
But while you can open the Nexon’s sunroof, the Widnsor’s unit is a fixed glass roof with a sunshade.
In the Windsor EV, you can recline the rear seats up to an angle of 135 degree. This feature elevates the experience and comfort that the rear passenger gets and is ideal for those who spend more time in the rear seat and like to take the occasional naps while traveling. This will also be very useful on those long distance journeys or road trips. The Nexon EV’s seats do not get a recline function.

A feature that uplifts the cabin feel is the ambient lighting which is available with the Windsor EV. Moreover, you get 256 colours to choose from, which you can change depending on your mood and occasion. The Nexon EV does not get any ambient lighting for its cabin.
The Windsor EV is equipped with a 6-way adjustable powered driver seat, while in the Nexon EV, you will have to manually adjust the driver seat. It is not a feature which improves the functionality or practicality of the cabin, but surely reduces your effort and adds to the convenience factor.
While these were the feature advantages of the Windsor EV, we’ve also compared its specs with the Nexon EV, and you can read that report here. What are your thoughts about these features? Which one did you like the most? Let us know in the comments below.
