The upcoming 2024 Tata Nexon SUV will spawn both the internal combustion (IC) and electric (EV) variants when it goes on sale. And until now, only the former has been spotted on multiple occasions in the country. For the first time though, the electric version of the upcoming SUV has made its spy shot debut.

The obvious giveaway is the fact that the test mule was lacking an exhaust pipe. And keen eyed viewers can also get a glimpse at the battery pack that’s mounted underneath the vehicle. The upcoming Tata Nexon EV should carry on with the existing powertrains from the current model, which comes in two variants: Prime (Standard Range) and Max (Long Range).
Take a look at the detailed specifications:
|
Parameters |
Tata Nexon EV Prime |
Tata Nexon EV Max |
|
Power (PS) |

The latest spy shots also seem to give away the fact that the Nexon could get LED headlamps. Based on earlier spy shots, we can say it will get a Curvv-like fascia, a familiar silhouette design and connected LED tail lamps with Audi-like dynamic turn indicators. Even the interiors have been overhauled with plenty of influence from Curvv, and you can read about it here.

We suspect the updated Nexon SUV will go on sale sometime later next year. And it’s expected to command a premium over the current model that starts at Rs 7.8 lakh and Rs 14.49 lakh for the ICE and EV versions, respectively. The standard Nexon will lock horns with Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Maruti Brezza. On the other hand, the EV version rivals the Mahindra XUV400.
