2022 Facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 Launch Tomorrow: 5 Things You Need To Know

Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch the facelifted XL6 tomorrow. Pre-launch bookings are underway, and the facelifted MPV will be offered in two trims and six colour options. Plus, the MPV will not only get minor revisions in terms of features or cosmetics, but it will also have updates underneath the hood. 

Here are five things you need to know:

Exterior Design 

The XL6’s exterior will sport minor updates in the form of a revised grille inserts with more chrome touches and larger 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Apart from that, the people mover remains largely similar to the outgoing model. 

You can have the people mover in six colour options: Nexa Blue, Brave Khaki, Arctic White, Opulent Red, Grandeur Grey, and Splendid Silver. The last three colours’ coding are new, so there could be a minor difference in the shade. 

Interior Design 

Not much is expected to change on the inside as well, save for a revised upholstery and wood finish on the dashboard. But the XL6 will get the new touchscreen infotainment system from the Baleno with connected car tech (telematics only). This brings us to the next point. 

Features

New features in the Maruti Suzuki XL6 include ventilated front seats, four airbags (standard on both trims), electronic stability control, paddle shifters, and a 360-degree camera. Kits like automatic climate control, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control, a coloured multi-info display, and keyless entry with push button start have been carried forward. 

Revised Engine

The XL6 will get the updated 103PS 1.5-litre petrol engine with Suzuki’s Dualjet and mild-hybrid tech from the Ertiga. A 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed torque converter automatic with paddle shifters (replacing the 4-speed AT) will be the gearbox options. 

Expected Price And Rivals 

Like the Ertiga, the XL6 could command a premium on the heftier side over the outgoing model, priced at Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo, and the facelifted Ertiga.
