Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying BRV

Q. Is BRV good for steap mountain climbing?
  • Yes it is quite decent at that, i took brv on the ghats of ooty with 8 passengers and it performed efficiently and pulled it self cleanly without any hesitation and loss of rpm, yes unlike diesel you have to keep it in lower gears like 3rd for maximum Torque output : By Israr | 1 month ago
Q. Does Honda BRV have power steering?
  • Yes : By Dilip | 1 month ago
Q. WHAT ABOUT BSIV ENGINE'S FUTURE BECAUSE I AM PLANNIG TO BUY BRV VX MT THIS WEEK. SHOULD I WAIT FOR THE BSVI COMPLIANCE TO LAUNCH? ALSO WHAT IS THE PETROL MILEAGE OF BRV?
  • If you are planning to buy the car soon, then you can go for the BSIV variant as the existing BSIV cars will continue after the BSVI norms are applied. Else, you can wait for the BSVI version. There is not official update from the brand's end regarding the launch of the BSVI variant. : By Zigwheels | 2 months ago
Q. I am comparing XL6 and BR-V (Auto/CRV Model), considering all the practicalities and reviews for a 6 member family (4 adult + 2 Kids), I found BR-V as better option. How much weightage should be considered for lack of infotainment system n BR-V. What is the safety rating of BR-V. Further, since the sale volume of BR-V is less and speculation of its discontinuation are on, can it be considered as good option now.
  • You have correctly rated BRV as a better choice while comparing it with XL6. I am using BRV ever since it was launched in June 2016 (I have V variant in Diesel, Manual). In my personal opinion, BRV is a very versatile, comfortable, fuel efficient and safe 7-seater when compared to any of Maruti's models be it Ertiga or XL6. Coming to your question, I consider Infotainment system as just an accessory and not a parameter to decide my choice of car. Simply because a vehicle should be good enough to keep the passengers safe in case of an incident rather than not offering the gadgetry, which anyway is present in most of our smartphones. You can always opt for a better after-market product which can replace the stock digipad. On the safety front, Honda BRV is rated 4/5 stars on Global NCAP safety ratings whereas XL6 has not even made an appearance there. This is one of the safest crossover/MUV in the market. If you have any more questions, I'll be glad to answer. Best wishes! : By Saurabh | 2 months ago
  • Okay sir brv gets touchscreen infotainment system on the vx model but as your looking for a automatic that is v trim and the good thing the Honda has done is that you can opt for caska touchscreen infotainment straight from the dealership for about 35 thousand on any trim level i have brv v trim and bought the infotainment system for 30 thousand from the showroom along with plenty of accessories Honda offers for the car, and the safety ratings for the ncap is 4 stars. • Thank you very much for your detail answer. One more aspect of BS-IV of BR-V against BS-Vi of Ertiga. Which restrict life of 15 years for BR-V : By Jignesh | 2 months ago
Q. Is Renault Triber a SUV or MUV - BRV?
  • Renault Tribers falls in the segment of crossover MUV. : By Zigwheels | 2 months ago
  • Triber and BRV both are different in class. : By Dilip | 1 month ago
Q. Does Honda BRV automatic gives a problem while overtaking?
  • The power generation in any automatic engine is less than a manual transmission engine and overtaking needs instant power. So, with Honda BRV automatic transmission engine there will be a lag while overtaking. Moreover, we'd suggest you take the test drive of the vehicle so that you can understand the difference which will help you to make a final decision for your purchase - Car Dealer : By Zigwheels | 3 months ago
  • Not at all. Just push your paddle and you are through. : By Bilal | 3 months ago
