Depends.. which city do you live in.. its climate and road conditions.. Duke 390 is a kind of sport bike and is meant to race hence it does not have soft suspension for giving the rider stability on roads. If you live in a city like Pune where traffic is much lesser than bangalore.. delhi etc. and even roads are broad and good.. properly maintained with less potholes then Duke 390 is a good choice for daily commute.. If in case you live in a city which is full of slow moving traffic.. roads with potholes and climate conditions having hot climate most of the times then Duke 390 is not at all the right choice for daily commute as you will feel tired while riding the bike, will also feel p****d coz you will not be able to use bike’s potential for which you have paid so much... You will end up facing lots and lots of heating issues near your leg and foot.. Your mileage will be somewhere around 25-26 kmpl. And you will not be able to overtake other vehicles in a slow moving traffic as duke 390 has the widest handlebar among all the street n***d bikes... Now, when it comes to the servicing part, i found it better than Bajaj, Honda and TVS. Servicing cost ranges from 2500 to 6,000

Bolted on the Steel Trellis frame, the 390 Duke rides on the 43mm WP upside-down front forks and features WP monoshock absorbers with 150mm travel suspension at the rear. The suspension feedback is impressive and whether you are loaded with luggage and the pillion rider or travelling solo you’d be treated with a well-balanced suspension which gives great comfortable ride and Dual-channel ABS comes as standard for optimum braking performance. The KTM 390 Duke still remains the benchmark of the segment with fantastic performance and handling dynamics. The KTM Duke 390 is among the quickest bikes in its segment while being a great value for money proposition. The throttle response is smooth and gear shifting mechanism is sublime, thanks to its slipper clutch that works incredibly well while quick downshifting. Oodles of torque on offer is enough to excite you and offer a ride of your lifetime. On our efficiency runs the Duke returned 25.7kmpl in the city and 28.5kmpl out on the highway. Depends on service engineer, the bike is awesome to ride in city but it heats up easily. Hence you should be wearing proper shoes and riding gears.
