    Yes, you can shave off the seat foam by an inch without altering the chassis and suspension. Better still you can use a more dense foam and make a seat which is one inch thinner.

    Yes. You can adjust the rear shocks to lower setting, you can also adjust the front suspension....gave you about 1'...with out affecting the bike performance... wouldn't do it anymore then one inch...

    I don't think it would be good to do so by changing or making some changes in the mechanism to do so, but yes you can try for a thin seat.
