Updated: 21 July 2026. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR Electric is an upcoming Hatchback expected to launch in India at an estimated ₹8.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected to get an electric powertrain. Once launched, it will rival the Tata Tiago, Hyundai i20 and Tata Tiago EV.

The Maruti Wagon R EV has been confirmed in the carmaker's presentation of its EV plans. The Wagon R EV will be among six other electric cars coming to India by 2030. It won't be the first EV from the carmaker, but it will be Maruti's mass-market electric offering in the country.
The specifications are yet to be revealed but we expect the Wagon R EV to offer a range of about 200km on a single charge, staying on a par with its competitors.
Maruti Suzuki is likely to price the Wagon R EV in the ballpark of its chief rivals that include the Tata Tiago EV, Citroen eC3 and MG Air EV.
