Recently Asked User Questions

Q. What is the difference in DCT and IVT? Which transmission is better, durable, low in maintenance and offers better mileage?
  • DCT is dual clutch transmission which is advanced and IVT is the CVT technology of Hyundai what I beleiveDCT is comparitivly costlier and yet to see it's performanceIf you want a safe bet then better I would advocate for IVT...
Q. How is the performance of i20 petrol 1.2 Asta, compared to Altroz and Baleno?
  • All these cars put out similar power performance. If we talk about Hyundai i20 1.2 petrol, this is an improved version of the older 1.2-litre engine and does help with refinement. However, power remains a bit scarce. It does its city duties fairly well and you won't have a reason to complain while commuting, but it starts to feel a little stressed on the highways or when you are looking to extract all the horsepower out of it. If we talk about tata Altroz, petrol engine feels crude to push and the three-cylinder clatter remains present throughout the rev band. The refinement doesn't feel anywhere close to what the segment has to offer. The power delivery is liner and smooth. This will be helpful in the city as it offers a smooth drive, not overwhelming you at any point. However, the lack of power and punch is evident. The engine is slow to rev and even at higher revs, doesn't feel sporty. This becomes more prominent on the highways. You will have to downshift a couple of gears to make a quick overtake or to hit a gap in traffic. This could be partially down to the Altroz weighing 1036kg kerb. For reference, the Baleno Smart Hybrid petrol weighs 910kg. While the Baleno's engine feels refined and linear in its power delivery its feels just like a Swift when it comes to performance. It is fun to drive and delivers good fuel efficiency. However, it isn't that stable a high speed as compared to other two. You may compare app these cars accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
Q. My budget is 10 Lakhs, I'm confused between, i20, Baleno, Polo, Altroz and Ignis? My priority is a car to learn and that car should give me confidence with moderate safety features.
  • Selecting the right car would depend on certain factors such as your budget, features required, brand preference, comfort, cabin space, etc. As per your requirements, we would suggest you go for Polo. It still manages to do a lot right though in terms of solid build quality, strong set of essential features as standard and adds on top of that, great performance and a delightful driving experience. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test drive for a better understanding of performance and driving comfort. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.

  • This was my first car, after dabbling with zens of the world, i finally arrived at this beauty. 2009 was the year when there were a lot of scepticism about the premium hatchback segment. However still decided against the wave and spent 10 years liking this car and my decision every moment. Reasons to like the car was always the ahead of time facilities at that point of time - auto door lock, aux connection, rear window washer, foglights ( which i had used as DRLs for quite some time). I have had a couple of trips in very precarious road conditions and evertime this trusted beast delivered. So in case you are reading this review wondering wether to buy a refurbished old i20 or not.. as long as your garage guy does not show any particular apprehension, i would say go for it.

  • Overall i20 is complete package in terms of mileage performance and safety.I bought this after rejecting maruti swift that time because of cheap build quality.I have mileage of 19 kmpl on highway with ac on 1 point outside temprature was around 40 degree.Ride quality is better than all other maruti cars.If you dnt wan to beleive then go for test ride. One pint to add very less cabin noise as compare to all other cars.

  • The car has mainly been used for annual mumbai-goa trips and that is why only 10614km has been driven. It's in good condition and the only reason i'm selling is that i want to shift to an automatic transmission.
