Q. Is this bike value for money or I should shift to Shine SP - Livo?
  • Dear Friend...,I had bitter experience with Livo. Last year I purchased it. Since the beginning it has been troubling me. Faulty gear box, low pick up, worrest resale value etc. Contact near by mechanics, bike evaluators and ask them about Livo. You better to by other successful variant. Livo outer appearance awesome but internal worst. All the best
  • Honda livo is best...for daily use after one year its milage is around 70 so you can imagine how helpfull for a daily use
  • There is no comparison between these two. Honda cb shine better than this bike in terms of mileage and maintenance.

Q. Which bike is suitable for contineous ride of 500km?
  • Two things you have to keep in mind before you make a investment decision on bikes. If you are thinking of 500 kms at a stretch, then it should be minimum 300cc and above, because at what speed you would like to cruise and the type of terrain you would be traversing, if it is a hilly terrain the gear box would be in demand and if its air cooled engine its ok in cold, otherwise it needs to be a liquid or water cooled engine. Then it will be physical also, specially if it is a fully faired you have to be in a racing position. which will have a toll on your back. Where do you want to go ? what kind of roads you would be riding through? i hope it is not going to be a DAKAR 2019.
  • This bike is good for upto 200km ride at a stretch. But if you want 500km I would prefer bajaj avenger 220 cruise. it is super comfortable and you will feel no pain. but if you will ride much on the sp cb shine you will feel a lot of pain after 2 hours.
  • Honda sp shine.may be.but 1996 i have continue drive lml vespa 150 scooter from kausani to kanpur.7am to 11pm .

Q. What is the best bike for hilly areas like Kashmir - CB Shine SP?
  • There are many bikes but mark down your budget as well - Himalayan is best for adventure touring; besides I have taken my RTR 180 everywhere be it hills, forests, riversides, offroading, highways, it's smooth and rock solid. But upgrade your bike for more fun to 200 to 250ctc on your capabilities. RTR180 has also come with a limitation. The power is good but not enough that gives a thrill, however, it's fun riding RTR180, GO FOR IT IF YOU HAVE A BUDGET OF 1LAC ONLY.
  • I thinks any bikes with abs brakes is betterFor your safer side , downslope drive in gear dnt use clutch for slopes, better to use back brakesIf front wheels lock in slopes ,ur bike rolls in forward rotation
  • Go for 150-160+ Cc engine bike, I have used till 125cc bike in Lonavala and Matheran Ghats, but it's difficult to get that much power in 2 seat.Suggestions are Hournet, Gixxer, Yamaha Fzs and Pulsar
