Q. Dominar 400 or interceptor 650 or ktm duke 390 which is best for daily practical family usage
  • As per you requirement, you may either opt for the Bajaj Dominar 400 or the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. However, the pricing will be a big deciding factor as the Dominar 400 retails at Rs. 1.99 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Interceptor 650 is priced in the range of Rs. 2.66 - 2.87 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Interceptor 650 is the most affordable multi-cylinder bike in India. The motor is a gem with loads of torque from the get go and a nice soundtrack accompanying it. Quality and fit and finish levels are quite good and the motorcycle feels built to last. This is easily the best Royal Enfield out there. On the other hand, if youโ€™re looking for the best bang for your buck, nothing eclipses the Dominar 400 in the sub-2 lakh rupee price bracket. Q. Can you suggest which bike to buy, I am confused between Dominar 400 and Interceptor 650?
  • Dominor is a plastic bike but interceptor full metal. for ex 5 years back pulsar 220 now not gives same power. same as dominior also. there parts comes loose and theire speed decreases in future automatically. royal bikes not that. u take 40 years back bike. once u ride u will say yes this is royal enfield.finally dominor is a vivo phone.interceptor is a iphone. i think u know vivo and iphone difference like camera display etc like same as dominor and interceptor
  • The money you pay for Interceptor is worth only if you have fallen in love with its unbeatable sexy retro look. Dominar instead gives you cent percent satisfaction for the 200K you pay. I personally have a feeling that RE survive the competition only with its retro looks. Never go for interceptor without testing Dominar 400.๐Ÿ˜Š
  • Both are different Bikes totally, it all depends on your budget. Then you need to chk which all bikes fit in this budget then you choose. I would go for Dominaar 2020 BS6 variant because it's complete overall package..but this is what I think, you can choose 650 if you have the bucks.

Q. I am planning this bike for touring and moderate highway riding but I am really confused now between the modern Dominar or the Classic Interceptor 650. I am 6ft tall and I am looking for comfortable seat and posture. Just investing 1 lakh more on interceptor is worth it or not is a different approach obviously due to more power and torque but in real world I think they both perform the same except torque delivery.
  • If you are opting for Interceptor better opt for a car but if you opt for dominar you can use it for daily commute as well as for touring and it maintains an upright posture while riding will be perfect for your height
  • Go for 2019 dominar 400 and after that you can install handlebar raisers for perfectly upright position
  • One of my friend who owns interceptor said he is having back pain, when riding long.

  • Value for money. Powerful cruiser and a tourer. I have a 2022 model, and it is so convenient to have all the required accessories in stock. I have completed 1500kms till now on this bike, and I really enjoy riding on this. The price for the power that you get is really economic. I believe in the future also this bike would hold its demand if Bajaj works on its weight, connectivity, vibrations, and power to weight ratio. The lakh rupees gap to go for a KTM adventure is one aspect. The other is the seat height. I am 180cms, and I was tiptoeing on the adventure. Dominar's lower seat height makes me feel planted and more in control.

  • It is my first motorcycle, I have not ridden a motorcycle before in my life, my previous experience is with a small car and a mountain bike. I started three months ago, now I do routes of 40 minutes to an hour, in the city and on the highway, my maximum speed based on my little experience has been 150 km / h maximum, both during the day, night or light rains and storms, at the moment very noble very docile when you control your clutch and throttle well. In short, YES IT IS A GOOD MOTORCYCLE FOR BEGINNERS, it depends on your motivation to develop your skills and ride, in my case I can tell you that the best thing is to hit the road.

  • Dominar 400 ug is great bike from bajaj i use this bike on daily basis as well as on long jurney/ tour.. i love the performance n handling of this bike especially the high speed stability of this bike the crusing speed of this bike around 90 ti 130km. Talkin about mileage i get around 26 to 28 in city & 38 to 42 on highway or long tour..The only thing i dislike of this is center/ main stand since its a sports tourer it must have one... the USD front fork n soft rear suspension offer great comfort n ride quality ๐Ÿ‘Œ the up right sitting position of this bike is great for daily usge as well fr weekends or long rides...

  • I rate my bike because I am in love with it..even though it weighs 182 kg it handles the twisties sort of nicely..the ride comfort is awesome, the 10led headlight offers best in class illumination..let me tell you one thing,if you want a bike between the high on track duke 390 and the simple bullet 500 the best choice is the dominar.but there are things which are lacking like the gear indicator and stuff.p.s:my bike is bs4 and it's in canyon red

  • The bajaj dominar i own since 2018 april blue colour one.Perfect for city ride and touring also bit of off-roading.Much comfortable in all road sometimes a bit stiff the front one.If you have the 2020 edition this complain also not there.I use to get descent mileage about 30 to 35 and in city 28 kmpl.Perfect touring bike with the affordable price and a power cruiser.

  • I booked intercepter 650 colour is Baker Express and as per dealer they will be able to deliver the bike in Jan 2020 end. whatever information I have gather through YouTube videos ... it's looks with minor change which need to be done after delivery.I am looking for better headlight reason being headlight isn't matching what rest of the bike is offering and I believe Thunderbird headlight would have been awesome additions and seat which is not great as per the bike standards.. so looking for seat changes with better qauilty for sure.

  • Very Good Bike , The money you pay for the vehicle has value. Ride, Breaking are exceptionaly good. What I don't like is the head light which is not powerful and it should be modified. Also tail lamp they should change it to LED. Royal Enfield should come out with mag wheels for this bike.
