Q. Dominar 400 or interceptor 650 or ktm duke 390 which is best for daily practical family usage
  • As per you requirement, you may either opt for the Bajaj Dominar 400 or the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. However, the pricing will be a big deciding factor as the Dominar 400 retails at Rs. 1.99 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Interceptor 650 is priced in the range of Rs. 2.66 - 2.87 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Interceptor 650 is the most affordable multi-cylinder bike in India. The motor is a gem with loads of torque from the get go and a nice soundtrack accompanying it. Quality and fit and finish levels are quite good and the motorcycle feels built to last. This is easily the best Royal Enfield out there. Q. Can you suggest which bike to buy, I am confused between Dominar 400 and Interceptor 650?
  • Dominor is a plastic bike but interceptor full metal. for ex 5 years back pulsar 220 now not gives same power. same as dominior also. there parts comes loose and theire speed decreases in future automatically. royal bikes not that. u take 40 years back bike. once u ride u will say yes this is royal enfield.finally dominor is a vivo phone.interceptor is a iphone. i think u know vivo and iphone difference like camera display etc like same as dominor and interceptor
  • The money you pay for Interceptor is worth only if you have fallen in love with its unbeatable sexy retro look. Dominar instead gives you cent percent satisfaction for the 200K you pay. I personally have a feeling that RE survive the competition only with its retro looks. Never go for interceptor without testing Dominar 400.😊
  • Both are different Bikes totally, it all depends on your budget. Then you need to chk which all bikes fit in this budget then you choose. I would go for Dominaar 2020 BS6 variant because it's complete overall package..but this is what I think, you can choose 650 if you have the bucks.

Q. I am planning this bike for touring and moderate highway riding but I am really confused now between the modern Dominar or the Classic Interceptor 650. I am 6ft tall and I am looking for comfortable seat and posture. Just investing 1 lakh more on interceptor is worth it or not is a different approach obviously due to more power and torque but in real world I think they both perform the same except torque delivery.
  • If you are opting for Interceptor better opt for a car but if you opt for dominar you can use it for daily commute as well as for touring and it maintains an upright posture while riding will be perfect for your height
  • Go for 2019 dominar 400 and after that you can install handlebar raisers for perfectly upright position
  • One of my friend who owns interceptor said he is having back pain, when riding long.

This bike with its parallel twin 650 cc engine delivers a smooth ride unlike any other offering 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. Its classic design is a head turner and prompts conversations wherever I go.Riding the Interceptor 650 feels like gliding all thanks to its well tuned 6 speed gearbox and the sound... oh, the sound is music to my ears.Yet no love story is perfect. The weight of the bike at 202 kg makes it a difficult task in heavy traffic and the heat from the engine can be bothersome in the summers.
