Sporty Scoot for the Youth
- The TVS NTorq 125 is the Chennai-based manufacturer's most powerful scooter.
- It is also one of our favourite 125cc scooters, in terms of performance.
- It comes in 6 different variants with a range of colours including Marvel Avengers-themed ones.
Design

Sharp Lines
- The TVS NTorq 125 looks really cool with its aggressive and sporty design. It comes with stylish body panels and is available in 14 different colours.
- It also has Marvel Avengers-themed graphics, including Spiderman, Thor, Captain America and Black Panther.
- Aggressive design might not appeal to more mature buyers
Performance & Mileage

Peppy Performance
- The NTorq 125 gets a 124.8cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 9.38PS and 10.6Nm.
- It delivers an impressive performance for a 125cc scooter.
- The Race XP variant makes 10.2PS and 10.9Nm - making it India’s most powerful 125cc scooter.
- Race XP variant gets 2 riding modes - Race & Street - for better performance & mileage respectively
- The NTorq 125 Race XP accelerates from 0 to 60kmph in just 8.07 seconds.
- The engine feels at home at highway speeds of 70-80kmph as well.
- It delivers an impressive real-world mileage of about 51-54kmpl in the city and 55-56kmpl on the highway
- If you ride hard, the mileage figure tends to drop rapidly,
Ride Quality

Sporty stiff, but pleasant
- Ride quality is good on well-paved roads, thanks to its telescopic fork and monoshock.
- The 125cc scooter remains stable even at higher speeds.
- It has a 155mm ground clearance, so clearing speed breakers isn't an issue.
- The ride does feel stiff on broken roads, so you need to slow down for large bumps & potholes
Handling

Handles as sharp as it looks
- The TVS NTorq 125 offers sharp handling, thanks to its chunky 12-inch wheels.
- The scooter is very stable around the corners at high speeds, even with a pillion.
- It is pretty agile and can filter through traffic very easily.
- Although braking power is decent, the brakes lack feel, making precise braking difficult.
Comfort & Storage

Reasonably practical
- The TVS NTorq 125 has a well-padded and slightly sloping single-piece seat, which is spacious for both rider and pillion
- It has a spacious footboard and easy-to-reach handlebar, providing an upright riding posture.
- Even if you're tall, you can sit comfortably with slightly bent elbows, keeping a straight posture.
- The soft seat feels good for short commutes, but can get painful over longer distances as you sink into it.
- Although the handlebar is tall, it might still foul with your knees while taking U-turns if you're very tall.
Features

Packed to the gills
- The NTorq gets a digital instrument console as standard with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
- It even has cool features like a timer for 0-60kmph acceleration and a lap timer with top speed recording.
- You can also check after your ride things like distance, time, engine RPM, and average speed on the Race XP variant.
- All the variants get voice assistance as well, making it easy to switch riding modes and activate navigation.
- Voice assistance feature needs a phone headset, and is a bit finicky
- Although it has an external fuel filler cap, you need to take the key out of the ignition to open it
Verdict

Youth appeal
- The TVS NTorq 125 is the most powerful scooter in the 125cc category.
- It comes with handy riding modes and connects to Bluetooth through its app, giving you a bunch of features.
- It delivers good mileage and handles well, making it almost the perfect sporty scooter.
- Whether you're using it daily or for weekend rides, the NTorq 125 is one of the best 125cc scooters to consider.
- That said, it is a bit on the pricier side, especially if you want the more powerful/feature-packed variants.
