Rapid Key Highlights

Features: The Skoda Rapid features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (lower-spec variants get a 6.5-inch unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), climate control, auto-dimming IRVM, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, all four auto-up/down power windows, rain-sensing wipers, tilt and reach-adjustable steering wheel, and keyless entry. Safety features include four airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (AT only), and a rear view camera.

Engine: The Skoda Rapid comes with a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 110PS of power and 175Nm of torque. Transmission options include 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic. According to ARAI’s claims, the engine with the 6-speed manual returns a fuel efficiency of 18.97kmpl, whereas, with the torque converter automatic, it offers 16.24kmpl. The sedan is 4,413mm long, 1,699mm wide, and 1,466mm tall with a 2,552mm wheelbase.

Rivals: The Skoda Rapid takes on the Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Toyota Yaris, and Honda City.

Variants: The Skoda Rapid is available in six variants: Rider, Rider Plus, Ambition, Onyx, Style, and Monte Carlo. The base-spec Rider gets only a manual transmission, while the rest can be mated to either a manual or an automatic transmission. The Rapid comes in four body shades: Flash Red, Candy White, Brilliant Silver, and Lapiz Blue.
