Tata Motors is all set to launch the heavily revised 2023 Nexon facelift on September 14. The subcompact SUV made its debut on September 1 and the carmaker has divulged all the details, save for the prices. It will come in four broad trims and two engine options. In this report, we’ll be giving you a detailed explainer of its variant-wise powertrain options.

The Nexon will come in four broad trims: Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless. It continues with its existing 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. In the case of the turbo-petrol unit, you get to choose from four transmission options. Take a look at the detailed specifications:

Moving a step up, the Pure trim gets turbo-petrol and diesel engines, both with the 6-speed manual only.
The Creative trim is offered with both manual and automatic options for the petrol and diesel engines.
The top-spec Fearless trims do not get the 6-speed AMT with the turbo-petrol motor.
In total, you get to choose from a total of 12 broad variants before the optional packs each trim comes with.
