The Skoda Kylaq is set to be the latest entry-level addition to the carmaker’s SUV lineup. All ready for its global unveiling on November 6, the Kylaq sub-4m SUV will mark Skoda's debut in this highly competitive segment and will be sold in the Indian market by early 2025. While we've already compared the Kylaq’s powertrain specifications with its rivals — which you can check out here — it's time to look at other key figures recently highlighted by the brand.
In this story, we’ll be talking about the car’s dimensions and see how it measures up against its direct competitors. Let's find out:
Skoda has recently revealed a few details about the Kylaq, including its length and wheelbase dimensions, but they’ve kept the height and width figures under wraps for now. So in this comparison, we’ll focus on the available dimensions.

As shown in the table above, the Skoda Kylaq measures 3,995 mm in length, which is in line with most other sub-4m SUVs. However, where it stands out is its wheelbase, which is slightly longer than nearly all its rivals, except for the Mahindra XUV 3XO. While the XUV 3XO boasts the longest wheelbase in this list, it falls short in overall length compared to the Kylaq. So, overall the Kylaq takes away a point here.

A longer wheelbase generally contributes to better ride comfort, as the increased distance between the front and rear wheels helps the car remain more stable over road bumps. It can also provide additional legroom for passengers, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Skoda hasn’t revealed the full set of features for the Kylaq yet. From what has been divulged, the Kylaq is expected to come equipped with six airbags as standard and six-way adjustable seats with ventilation function. It is also likely to get a sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger and a reverse parking camera.

The Kylaq is confirmed to be available with a single 1-litre turbo petrol engine option that will return an output of 115 PS and 178 Nm. It can be coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Prices for the Skoda Kylaq are expected to be set between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom), offered across multiple variants to choose from. Upon its launch, it will be a strong contender to all the cars listed in this article as well as an alternative to the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Toyota Taisor.
