Maruti has now introduced the Victoris, which sits in a segment above the Brezza. The Victoris is significantly larger than the Brezza in every way except height, where the Brezza has the edge. With its extra length and wheelbase, the Victoris is expected to offer more cabin space, while the Brezza is better suited for those who want a compact SUV that is easier to manoeuvre in tight city spaces.

Features

In terms of equipment, the Victoris clearly steps ahead with more premium kit like the panoramic sunroof, a digital driver’s display, and a powered driver’s seat. It also gets additional safety with the presence of ADAS with features like adaptive cruise control. On the other hand, the Brezza still covers the basics well, but since the Victoris is positioned a segment above, it adds more in terms of overall features.

Powertrain

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris offers more variety when it comes to powertrain choices. It will be available with a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine producing 103 PS and 137 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Then there’s the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid unit that makes a combined 116 PS and 141 Nm, coupled with an e-CVT gearbox. For those who want lower running costs, the Victoris also comes with a petrol-CNG version delivering 88 PS and 121.5 Nm, featuring Maruti’s twin-cylinder CNG setup cleverly placed under the floor. Additionally, the mild-hybrid petrol engine option even offers the option of all-wheel drive.

The Brezza, meanwhile, gets a single 1.5-litre petrol engine option, delivering 103 PS and 137 Nm. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. You can also configure it with a factory-fitted CNG kit that puts out 88 PS and 122 Nm, though unlike the Victoris, it does not get the underfloor twin-cylinder layout.
