GM's Opel marquee sadly never took off in India. But one look at their international models makes you cringe about Opel not being here anymore. After the super hot VXR8 saloon, Vauxhall has now unleashed an even more demonic Bathurst Edition of its supersaloon.

Already pumping out 415 PS in its current avatar, the Bathurst edition thanks to the addition of a Walkinshaw Performance I22 Supercharger dispenses a massive 560 PS taking it straight into supercar territory. The supercharger not only boosts power by 30% but also enhances the torque from 550 Nm to a mental 715 Nm.

To cope with the increase in power, six-pot front and four-pot rear callipers are now standard on both models, along with stiffer, height-adjustable springs and Walkinshaw-developed coil-over dampers. The bespoke damper units have 15 separate valve settings with independent corner adjustment for the owner's preferred setup.

On the outside the Bathurst is instantly recognizable by the distinctive graphics, front fog light covers and 'Bathurst' badges (only the addition of a discreet 'S' badge reveals the supercharged model's extra 129PS), while inside a console-mounted badge showing the car's build number complements the 'Walkinshaw Performance' tread plates found inside each door opening.

The icing on the cake is the price with the Bathurst S being less expensive than any UK car with 500PS+ at 31.5 lakh being marginally more expensive than the standard VXR8.
