A couple of launches in India, reveals, and teasers were the main highlights this week

The past week saw quite a bit of action. We had a couple of new launches, global reveals, and some news for existing customers too. Let's take a look at all the top news that made headlines last week:

Launches / Unveiling

Isuzu D-Max Comes Back

The D-Max V-Cross, which was discontinued last year due to the BS6 emission norms, has now made a comeback. It now packs a more powerful heart and is available in two trims: Hi-Lander (the new base-spec) and V-Cross. Read about it here.

Isuzu mu-X Gets A New Heart

Along with the D-Max, Isuzu has also launched the BS6-compliant mu-X. Although it remains cosmetically unchanged, one significant update has been under the hood. Sadly, prices have seen a super steep increase.  

VW Tiguan Allspace Gets A Facelift

It now has a redesigned front fascia, an updated infotainment system, and improved features. The facelifted Allspace is also longer by 22mm and is available as both 5 and 7-seaters. 

Mercedes-Benz Concept EQT Revealed

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the concept EQT, an all-electric van that will be positioned below the V-Class. This concept previews the upcoming T-Class. Check it out right here.  

Facelifted Volkswagen Polo GTI Teaser Out!

Volkswagen has released the first teaser image of the facelifted Polo GTI, revealing a redone front fascia with Golf GTI-like honeycomb DRLs and red accents with the ‘GTI’ badging. Also, reports suggest the Polo GTI could have more horses under the hood. 

Ford’s All-electric Pickup?

Ford has announced that the all-electric F-150 will be called the ‘F-150 Lightning’. In its teaser video, the pickup’s front fascia reveals a connected LED DRL strip.

Warranty And Service Extensions

In view of the ongoing pandemic, many carmakers, including Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, MG, Renault, and Mahindra, have decided to offer some respite to their customers. Thankfully, all warranty and free service periods, which would’ve expired during the localised lockdowns, have now been extended.
