An interesting addition to the headlamps is the ‘Coming/Leaving Home’ feature. This function allows the lights to be switched on when you unlock your car with the remote control. This helps light up the way to and from your front door.

Heading inside, the Laurin & Klement variant features a new two spoke steering wheel design, whereas the Sportline gets a new three spoke flat bottom SuperSport multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifts. The other additions include an updated UI for the 8-inch touchscreen unit, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Type-C USB portsA 360-degree camera with park assist has been added to Laurin & Klement. Moreover, the virtual cockpit (digital instrument cluster), that was once exclusive to the Sportline, will now be present on all the variants.

Mechanically, the Superb remains as is -- powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that develops 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

As things stand, the Skoda Superb only has the Toyota Camry hybrid, to compete with. But news is that the Volkswagen Passat could make a comeback as it has been spotted testing in the country.
