Shell Lubricants launches Rimula T5 E 10W-30 engine oil

Shell Lubricants in collaboration with Tata Motors has launched the Shell Rimula T5 E 10W-30 diesel engine oil which is claimed to deliver over three per cent savings on fuel equivalent to Rs 40,000 per truck per year.

The engine oil manufacturer claims that this new product uses an advanced combination of semi-synthetic base oils (GTL) and high-performance additives which help in delivering fuel economy and protects under the full range of operating pressures and temperatures found in Tata engines, thereby meeting the needs of heavy-duty truck and bus fleets operators.

Speaking on the occasion, Nitin Prasad, Managing Director, Shell Lubricants India, said, “Innovation, Product Application and technical partnerships are at the heart of Shell Lubricants. At Shell Lubricants India, our focus has always been to provide our valuable patrons with solutions that help improve performance, productivity and profits. This association is yet another milestone for us in this direction. Our association with Tata Motors started in 2010 -11 and this is the first time such product is being launched. We aim to continue nurturing this partnership and work closely to increase the technical intimacy.”

Shell states this new engine oil delivers excellent wear protection and long oil life in Tata engines fitted with 697/497 4SP BS-III and BS-IV and other advanced engines. The company also claims that the RimulaT5 E 10W-30 engine oil also provides the ability to improve cold starting and reduces fuel consumption, thereby saving money, without compromising on the engine protection or durability.

This product is now available across the country and is priced at Rs 399 per litre.
