Scoop! 2014 Yamaha YZF R15 exclusive images and details

Last month we broke the news that Yamaha will be launching a new version of the YZF R15, its popular sporty 150cc motorcycle. Now we bring you complete details and exclusive images of the bike before its official launch. Our sources inside the company has informed us that the 2014 Yamaha YZF R15 is due for launch next month and will come with some minor technical upgrades , but sadly would not have any major changes in the design. We got exclusive images of the bike which shows that it will get a new colour options and special edition type body graphics. Apart from the regular colour that are currently available the bike be launched in a new grey hue and with a black-and-golden special edition livery. Also read: New Yamaha R15 coming soon

Technically, the only major difference is that the 2014 Yamaha YZF R15 will get a new fuel injection system and the ECU will be remapped to offer slightly better power output of 18PS, which is just 1PS more than the existing model. The torque figure remains unchanged at 15Nm. However, this new setup will improve the torque spread giving the new Yamaha YZF R15 better midrange which will make it even better to ride in urban conditions.

As we mentioned before the upgraded 2014 Yamaha YFZ R15 is scheduled to hit the showroom across India by April 2014. The price would remain similar to the current model which retails for Rs 1.12 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi.
