After witnessing a steep dip in demand, Toyota is now offering various benefits on the Yaris sedan to make it more price competitive against the likes of the Maruti Ciaz, Honda City and the Hyundai Verna. Prices for the Toyota Yaris start from Rs 9.29 lakh and go up to Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom India), which is a bit on the higher side when compared to the rest of the segment.
These benefits include discounts, accessories, additional warranty, exchange offers and maintenance packages under the 'Gold Rush' offer. Furthermore, there are various benefits for corporate and government employees as well. These benefits are on offer till November 20.

Toyota is even offering a 1-year extended warranty over the standard 3-year/1 lakh kilometre warranty package free of cost. Meanwhile, its periodic maintenance package called 'Smiles' is available at discounted rates. Customers can also avail exchange benefits of up to Rs 20,000 and other benefits up to Rs 60,000, including gold coins.
Apart from the price, the Yaris' Achilles heel has been the absence of a diesel powertrain. The sedan is only offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 107PS of power and 140Nm of torque. Transmissions on offer include a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed CVT right from the base variant. Claimed efficiency for the Yaris stands at 17.8kmpl for the CVT drivetrain and 17.1kmpl for the manual.

Although there’s only one engine on offer, the Toyota Yaris offers a bag full of features. These include segment-firsts like seven airbags, automatic transmission from the base variant, roof-mounted rear AC vents and power adjustable driver seat. So, if you are in the market for a Totoya Yaris, contact your nearest dealer now as the offers will vary from different dealerships.
