The Yaris J variant will come equipped with seven airbags.
It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which puts out 107PS and 140Nm.
Although the Yaris is available in Super White as standard, other colour options are available on special request.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has made the petrol Yaris available for sale on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) for Rs 9.12 lakh, with additional freight charges and location-based tax. The price of the only model available is almost Rs 1.96 lakh lower than the original market price of the equivalent Yaris’ variant thanks to government subsidies.

On the GeM, only the lower-spec J variant of the Yaris is up for sale. Even though the J variant comes with a CVT option, only the 6-speed manual transmission option is available. It is powered by a 1.5-litre engine which produces 107PS and 140Nm. The compact sedan’s GeM model comes with 15-inch alloy wheels and projector headlamps. Inside, the cabin features a dual-tone interior and is expected to feature powered ORVMs, a rear charging port, and rear armrests.
The Yaris boasts a long list of safety features which include seven airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, and rear parking sensors. The J variant on the GeM is available in only one colour option: Super White. However, more options are available on request.
Aside from the Yaris, Toyota’s other offerings on the GeM are the Innova GX Petrol 7- and 8-seater, VX Petrol 7-seater, and the G Plus Diesel 7- and 8-seater. Across Indian showrooms, the Toyota Yaris retails from Rs 8.86 lakh to Rs 14.3 lakh.
