Citroen has taken the wraps off the latest iteration of the C4 hatchback. And while it does look the part, the major talking point is under the hood as it's offered with an electric powertrain (e-C4) as well as internal combustion engines. But first, let’s talk a bit about the design.

Thanks to the funky styling and an air of French essence, the Citroen C4 does stand out in a crowd. While Citroen calls it a hatchback, we feel it looks more like a crossover thanks to the sloping roofline, jacked-up stance and butch body cladding. It also packs design elements from the bigger C5 Aircross like the slim grille and the split headlamps. The rear-end, though, looks funky, albeit a bit busy with various design elements and trims.

The interior of the Citroen C4 is a different story. While its exterior design screams funky and stylish, the interior is minimalistic and simple. The main highlight here is the floating infotainment screen and digital driver’s display. We can also notice some specific French design elements like the split AC vents.

Though Citroen is yet to reveal the C4’s powertrain options, it has stated that it’ll be offered with a choice of diesel, petrol and pure-electric options. Citroen cars are also known for their exceptional ride quality and the C4 is no different, featuring Citroen’s Advance Comfort program which consists of suspension with progressive hydraulic cushioning and Citroen’s comfort seats.

More details of the C4 and e-C4 will be revealed on June 30 2020. So stay tuned for further updates.
So, to the main question: Is the C4 headed to India? At the moment, the answer is no. The carmaker is currently gearing up to launch the C5 Aircross midsize SUV which will hit showrooms in early 2021.
