Differences in design suggest that Benelli is looking at two options for the next iteration of its inline four mid-capacity naked

  • Both patent designs are styled quite different from one another.
  • Even the rear subframe is different in both designs.
  • However, mechanically the two designs look near identical to one another.

Benelli has been working on the next iteration of the TNT 600 for quite a while. The bike was spotted in China earlier this year. But patent design images that surfaced a few weeks later, made us believe that the bike spotted was still a preliminary design. Now though, we know that the design will be similar to the near-production ready bike thanks to new patent images that have been leaked online.

While both designs are radically different than the current TNT 600, the two designs are unique too. Both employ an angular and edgy design language. The green bike gets split seats, a dual headlamp design and the turn indicators are integrated into fuel tank extensions. Even the radiator is slightly more angled on the green bike.

Another major difference between the two designs is a different rear subframe. Interestingly, the green design with the split seat setup seems to have a lower saddle height than the yellow bike with a more conventional single-seat unit.

Underneath the skin, we expect the new TNT 600 to get a BS6-compliant version of the existing 600cc inline-four engine. It’s likely to generate a little lower than 86.24 PS and 54.6Nm.

We will have to wait and watch as to which design gets the nod from Benelli’s top bosses for the upcoming model year. Stay tuned for more details on ZigWheels.com.
