Better known for its power backup solutions here in India, Luminous has been a significant contributor to the country’s power problems and has been implemented by umpteen family homes in the country, whose infrequent power supply often poses to be a huge inconvenience. While Luminous’s presence in India is (at least till now) was limited to its highly reliable power products for Indian homes, as a brand Luminous has a strong foothold in over 36 countries worldwide.
With a product portfolio that stretches from distributed power generation and renewable energy solutions to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, the Sachin Tendulkar endorsed UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) appliances brand now extends the reach of its products to the Indian automotive industry.
The company has now introduced its technologically advanced range of all new maintenance free batteries, which include the Luminous ELECTRA & Luminous START for four-wheeler passenger cars, and a separate RACER range of batteries, specifically for motorcycles running on Indian roads.

Some of the immediate advantages of using these futuristic batteries include tough and durable separators for extended operation, high corrosion resistance, immediate start, brightest light, extra power conservation and prevention against acid spillage.
Commenting on the launch of a range of automotive and motorcycle batteries, Mr. Rakesh Malhotra, Founder and CEO, Luminous Power Technologies said, “With the launch of Luminous automotive and motorcycle batteries, we are confident to repeat the same success story that we have created for our inverter and other battery segments.”
Designed to deliver high performance in vehicles of both Indian and international makes, the batteries are all powered by Luminous’s proprietary AGCA alloy & EMT technology. Apart from being factory charged and ready to use, they come with the assurance of longer, trouble free performance, year after year.
