The national finals of the JK-Tyre-MMS Rotax Rookie Cup 2011 proved to be a complete ‘encore’ performance of the first round in Hyderabad, which ended with the most promising drivers of the season taking away top honours and their earning their first real recognition as serious racing drivers at the national level.
Carrying on their lead from the first round it was once again Karminder Singh (Senior Category), Gaurav Rajan Davare (Junior Category) and Gaurav Rakesh Marne (Micro Max Category) who all went on to secure the top positions in their respective classes at the end of a fierce battle throughout the race weekend.

Edging out Mithun Ganatra only by two points, Delhi boy Karminder Singh from Meco Racing went of to become the 2011 JK-Tyre-MMS Rotax Rookie Cup Champion in the Senior Category racking up a total of 181 point. Siddhant Panda driving for Rayo Racing, finished a distant third in the overall tally with 149 points.
In the Junior Cateogry, Gaurav Rajan Davare from Mohites Racing drove well away from the competition and managed to carry the momentum into the finals, thus claiming his golden crown in a more flamboyant manner. The second-place went to Ajay Uppu, followed by Bangalore’s Ananth Shanmugam, despite his strong opening weekend in Hyderabad finished the competition in third place.

The tiny trots of the junior most Micro-Max category offered no less thrill and excitement to the competition. Gaurav Rakesh Marne, who came into the final round as the tally leader with a solid 120 points took his dominance to the very end becoming the new Rotax Rookie Cup Champion in the youngest category. Kevin Lazarus finished second with 171 points, while Akash Gowda managed to rake up 147 points and a third place in the standings.
The winners of the 3 Classes in the Rookie Cup will be rewarded with free Tyres and free Training Programs amounting to Rs 1 Lakh per winner.
