Alright, so its that time of the year again and the Raid de Himalaya rally is just around the corner.

I've managed to weasel a sponsor as well as find a navigator post a bit of last minute struggle of having my first navigator assigned on a different mission all together! More on navigators and navigation later, and back to the subject now. Rallying is a lot of fun, rallying is probably what I live for and I really could do with more rallying in my life. Maybe one day I'll get to take part in the INRC, however till then, I have to make do with the Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm and the Raid de Himalaya events. Fun is an understatement, however what is the real killer in these events is the sheer amount of paperwork!

The trouble is the instructions are a little vague, and life would have been a lot easier if the organizers of these events just had a system where you apply for the rally and once you've paid your entry fee, they dispatch an envelope containing all the documentation that needs to be duly filled, instead of downloading various forms off the net and running around to get legal stamp paper from the court etc...

I Hate Paperwork highlights

A single booklet with all the intended paperwork would simplify life a whole lot more and save me the hassle of having sleepless nights over the paperwork that is due!

Well, these are pre rally blues and spirits are bound to rise once the paperwork is outta the way...till then stay tuned for a great rally is just around the corner and you can get first hand updates from me and my navigator-Abhishek Nigam on what we're going through!
