Gautam Singhania secures podium finish at Ferrari Challenge EU

Gautam Singhania finished in third place in the Finali Mondiali category of Ferrari Challenge EU becoming the first Indian to do so

Gautam Singhania, the chairman and managing director of Raymond Limited became the first Indian driver to register a podium finish at the Finali Mondiali at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit. Gautam Singhania finished third in his category of Coppa Shell and was 14th overall out of 43 participants in Race 2 of the event. He bettered his 4th place position of Race 1 and 12th overall out of 43 participants. It was the first occasion that the event was ever hosted outside the European continent. Gautam Singhania is also the only Indian to have won in the amateur category of the All Stars European Drift Championship that was held at Malta in September 2012. 

Commenting on his podium finish, Gautam Singhania said, “It is a proud moment for me to secure a podium place in this tough and most competitive race. Getting the podium from the 26thposition was a big challenge and I was up for it”.
