When it was first launched in 2010, Chevrolet’s Beat was a very modern looking vehicle that appealed to the youth with its bold design cues. Three years since, the Beat hasn’t aged one bit and is still one of the most striking looking little hatchbacks on Indian roads.
To celebrate the occasion, Chevrolet is offering a special discount on the most affordable entry-level petrol model of the Beat to give aspiring customers a chance to own the funky little hatchback.
The anniversary celebration has knocked off flat Rs 48,000 off the sticker price of the Chevrolet Beat 1.2 PS, which means it is now priced at Rs 3.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Potential customers can also avail of corporate discounts, the amount of which differs from company to company.
An entry-level version may not sound like much value for some, but when you consider that the base model of the Beat is now more affordable than higher end models of cars like the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon and Rs 50,000 more affordable than the base model Ford Figo, the proposition does seem attractive. And when you consider that it is the most powerful of the lot with 80PS of power and 108Nm of torque, things start to look even better.
In terms of equipment, the Chevrolet Beat 1.2 PS gets air-conditioning, power steering, manual ORVMs, manual windows, remote fuel and truck lid openers, a tachometer, an anti-glare rear view mirror and a dual trip meter. Safety equipment is limited to seatbelts and a collapsible steering column.
If you are looking to buy an entry-level hatchback it is a good idea to take the Chevy Beat 1.2 PS for a spin soon as the celebration offer is running till June 30, 2013.
