Over the past 25 years, the automotive scenario in India has undergone a drastic change and so has the engines being installed in them. We have successfully overcome the notion that diesel mills make more noise as against petrol engines.
Growing with the times and Indian automotive industry, Castrol, which was launched in 1986 in India to meet the requirement of the new generation Maruti Suzuki cars launched at the time, has grown manifold. It has now come up with a new engine oil—the GTX Modern Engine that claims to provide high levels of protection for engines with features such as turbocharging, catalytic converter and multi-valve systems.
Commenting on the launch of Castrol GTX Modern Engine, Giriraj Bagri, VP Marketing, India & South Asia said, "Today, 40 percent of passenger cars have modern engines. Conventional engine oils are unable to protect these engines which are more compact, more powerful and run hotter. In addition, the worsening, stop go traffic conditions put these engines under greater stress. Castrol GTX Modern Engine oil is designed to deliver superior sludge and deposit protection and improved fuel efficiency."
Castrol GTX Modern Engine comes with 'sludge busters' that apparently offer 25 percent better engine protection from sludge, resulting in improved fuel efficiency and longer engine life. Other benefits that this new engine brings to extend the life of your car's engine are that it addresses oil thickening, comes with advanced additive system and high temperature wear protection.
The SAE 5W-30, API SM engine oil is available in 3 litre, 3.5 litre and 500ml packs at leading oil and spare part shops apart from all Castrol Pitstops.
