A while ago Carzonrent introduced its self drive venture in the country to capitalise on the potential of the business. Having tasted success with 80 per cent of its fleet being booked at all times the company is now looking to expand its operations with the introduction of more vehicles including luxury cars and also in expanding operations from its current presence in 35 cities to 60 – 65 cities by the end of the year 2014.
Giving people travelling within India the possibility of having a car at their disposal, at all times gives them great flexibility to optimise their time as well as find an affordable solution for commuting.
For example, the cost of hiring a Toyota Etios diesel for a day is Rs 1,499 which combined with the cost of fuel allows customers great monetary savings as well as time savings along with the convenience of having their own car.

Customers can also hire a vehicle for multiple days for outstation trips to neighbouring parts of a location giving them the convenience of travelling at their convenience.
All one needs to have to hire a car under the Carzonrent self drive options are a credit card and valid driver’s licence. The entire Carzonrent self drive fleet consisting of 75 vehicles are comprehensively insured by the company and in case of an accident customers are charged for damage repairs that cost in excess of Rs 4,000.
We see a lot of mid level professionals in their late 20’s – early 30’S renting these vehicles. Having said that, we feel the product will have a market in all travel and driving enthusiasts across age groups as it provides the benefit of driving a vehicle of your choice without owning it, said Sakshi Vij, Executive Director, Carzonrent.
Carzonrent is focussed on adding new vehicles to its fleet with a focus on popular models which in turn will lure in people to rent vehicles that they would like to experience without having to own the vehicle.
The company is marketing its services via radio, print as well as on the internet to increase their reach and promote awareness. With a big focus on the online market, Carzonrent also allows customers to book vehicles online to provide a hassle free and quick route to hiring cars. Carzonrent also provides car rental services in 170 countries abroad.
