A service centre every 50km, AMW expands service network to 1,500 touch points.

AMW

Asia MotorWorks (AMW), India’s third largest commercial vehicle maker has expanded its service web to 1,500 touch points across the 71,771km National Highway network in the country. This gives AMW an average of one service centre for every 50km of the Indian National Highway network and shows AMW’s intent about increasing market share and providing facilities to customers.

This will enable AMW to provide quick service across the National Highway network in India for the growing number of its vehicles on the road, decrease turnaround times and boost productivity.

The service outlets can carry out a range of services that will ensure quick downtime for AMW vehicles. The additional service outlets compliment the strategically positioned AMW authorised service centres that handle major repairs and breakdowns. These outlets also sell spare parts for customer convenience.

AMW plans to further increase its service network throughout the country.

For the year ended March 2012, AMW’s sales were up by more than 50 per cent, at 10,000 units. AMW has emerged as the second largest player in the tipper commercial vehicle segment with a market share of 25 per cent.
