A More Premium Tata Harrier Is Coming Your Way!

• The 2020 Tata Harrier will get new alloy wheels and a red exterior shade.
• It will be offered with a panoramic sunroof and could get connected car technology as well.
• The 2.0-litre Multijet engine could be uprated to develop 170PS in its BS6 avatar.
• It could also be offered with a new 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Tata Motors took the opportunity of the Altroz’ recent launch event to show off the 2020 Harrier as well. The 2020 Tata Harrier comes with a cosmetic update and is expected to pack a BS6-compliant engine. It will also get a couple of feature additions that could increase the Harrier’s appeal. The 2020 Tata Harrier is expected at Auto Expo 2020 along with the Gravitas.  

The 2020 Tata Harrier looks similar to the existing version, though new 10-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels and a red exterior shade add a touch of sportiness to the exterior.

The other major update is a panoramic sunroof, which will probably be offered only in the top variants. Tata Motors currently offers the sunroof in the Harrier as a dealer-level option. Other expected updates include connected car technology, a feature currently present in the just launched facelifted Tata Nexon. 

Under the hood, the 2020 Tata Harrier will most likely feature the upgraded BS6-compliant 2.0-litre Multijet engine. In its BS6 avatar, it could be uprated to develop 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. It’ll also most likely feature a new 6-speed automatic gearbox sourced from Hyundai.  

The 2020 Tata Harrier could be priced Rs 1 lakh more than the current Harrier which starts from Rs 13.44 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Tata Harrier BS6 will renew its rivalry with the MG Hector and Mahindra XUV500.
