I am sure that Movistar Yamaha is quite delighted to have the young blood Maverick Vinales in its new factory rider along with Valentino Rossi. The Spaniard did justice to his first day’s best finishing time by registering an even better figure of 1’29.975s on the second and the last day of 2017 MotoGP Valencia testing round. He was also the only rider to clock below the 1’30 benchmark.
Following him was Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez who was leading the charts till lunch time and clocked the second best time of 1’30.171s. He was able to put Honda’s 2017 machine through its paces. However, he also rode the 2016 machine for reference.
Ducati, like Tuesday's testing, finished in the third position. However, this time it was Andrea Dovizioso, clocking the best time of 1’30.442s. Whereas, his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo finished eighth riding his Desmosedici GP 16/17.

The fourth place was taken by Andrea Iannone astride GSX-RR; his team recorded 1’30.599s before a nasty crash. This restricted further testing for Suzuki as its other rider, Alex Rins, also fell off his 2017 motorcycle at Turn 12. Dani Pedrosa was able to up the ante compared to Tuesday’s round and finished registering the fifth fastest time of 1’30.686s.
The British rider, Cal Crutchlow, held his sixth position with 1’30.709s. However, he managed to shave around a second off of the time he registered on Tuesday (1’31.156). Rossi followed with a fraction of difference as compared to Crutchlow's time.
Aleix Esparago and Jonas Folger also managed in the top ten with the ninth and tenth finish, respectively. The teams and the riders will now head to Jerez for further testing except for Yamaha, which will carry on private tests in Sepang before the winter testing ban is brought into effect from December 1.
