2013 Nissan GT-R gets wrapped in Gold

Gold this and gold that… phones, bathtubs, and shirts even. Taking yet another swing at tuning a supercar up to the Midas touch is Czech-based automotive company WrapStyle. While they offer to do all-things-unique and bizarre that a car client may demand, their latest project is quite conventional considering they perked up the Nissan GT-R to the now-forever trending gold phase.

Wrapped not plated, the car is encapsulated in gold vinyl—a new technique the makers believe is destined to gain popularity in the car customisation arena. Infuse some gold dust into the window tints and give those wheels a golden paint makeover, and what you have is the standard Nissan GT-R, poised to compete with all the other jeweled supercars in the market.

Under the hood it’s all the same, what with a 3.8 L V6 engine, two parallel Ishikawajima-Harima heavy industries turbochargers and power to the tune of 478 hp with 434 lb-ft in torque. Care for all that bling, or do you have your own ideas on how you’d like to pimp your drive?
