List Of Hyundai And Maruti Suzuki Cars To Be Showcased At Bharat highlights

Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor India are going to bring their exciting new offerings at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. India’s largest automaker will introduce its first-ever electric vehicle (EV) in the market, while the South Korean brand will showcase its first mass-market EV based on the most sought-after compact SUV, the Creta. While there will be other cars at their pavilion, such as the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Staria, the e Vitara and Creta Electric will be the respective marque’s showstoppers at the Auto Expo 2025. Here is what you can expect.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Expected price - Rs 20 lakh

First showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo as the concept eVX, the production version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will make its debut at the forthcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. We expect the India-spec model to be powered by two battery packs: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh paired with single- and dual-motor motor setups.

The power output of the single motor ranges from 144 PS and 189 Nm to 174 PS and 189 Nm, while the dual-motor setup generates 184 PS and 300 Nm. Although the official range figures are not out yet, we expect the e Vitara to deliver a range of about 500 km.

Key highlights of the Maruti e Vitara include a dual-screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 36-degree camera, connected car tech, 6 airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and ADAS.

Hyundai Creta Electric

Expected price - Rs 17 lakh

The Creta Electric will make its first public appearance at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2025 in New Delhi. The MG ZS EV and Maruti e Vitara rival from Hyundai will be offered in two battery pack options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, with an ARAI range of up to 390 km and 473 km, respectively. It will be available in a single motor version with distinct power outputs: 135 PS and 171 PS.

The upcoming Creta Electric will support DC fast charging, enabling the long-range battery pack to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in 58 minutes. It will also be compatible with AC fast charging of up to 11 kW.

Ioniq 9

The South Korean automaker will show off its flagship electric vehicle (EV), the Ioniq 9, at the upcoming Auto Expo 2025. Unveiled in late 2024, it features a three-row layout, offering a choice of 6 or 7-seat configuration. The Ioniq 9 boasts the brand’s new design language, which is more rounded and contemporary, rather than edgy and sporty. It has an upmarket and premium interior complemented by vivid upholstery options. Powering the Ioniq 9 is a 110.3 kWh battery pack couped to a single- and a dual-motor setup. With the rear-wheel drive setup, the EV promises a range of up to 620 km. Thanks to the 800V technology, it supports charging speeds of up to 350 kW.

Staria

Also to be shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is the Hyundai Staria. Available in some international markets, the MPV gets a quirky design, featuring a sloping bonnet that adjoins the windshield to match the angle. There is also a full length light strip and rectangular headlights. Inside, the Staria is available in 2, 7, 9, and 11-seat layout options. The latter also comes with second-row seats that swivel 180-degree to the face passengers in the third-row. Internationally, it comes powered by either a 272 PS 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine or a 177 PS 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel motor. The diesel unit can also be mated to an all-wheel drive system.
