Mercedes-Benz is on a launch spree in India this year as it has now launched two more models, namely the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe and the Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet, just a month after bringing the EQA and the facelifted EQB to the market. Both these models have arrived as CBU (completely built-up units) imports, and here is all you need to know about them.

Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet |

The GLC 43 Coupe sits at the top of the standard GLC SUV’s variant line-up and gets an AMG treatment to display its sportiness. Over the standard GLC Coupe, it gets a big grille with vertical chrome slats, sleek LED DRLs, 21-inch alloy wheels, and a quad exhaust setup to accentuate its sporty nature.
While the cabin does have the same layout as the standard GLC Coupe, you do get some additional bits like the AMG-specific steering wheel and seats to dial up the uniqueness of this sportier version. The central 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system also gets AMG-related graphics, and there is also a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display along with a heads-up display. The entire cabin has an overall sporty and performance-cnetric look thanks to the AMG treatment.
The GLC 43 Coupe is powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, borrowed from the AMG C-Class. This engine churns out 421 PS and 500 Nm, and power is delivered to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. It also gets a 48V hybrid assist, which adds 13 PS. With this setup, the GLC 43 Coupe can complete the 0 to 100 kmph run in just 4.8 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.
The CLE comes to India in its drop-top form factor with design inspiration from Mercedes-Benz C-Class. However, it does have its own unique look and you won’t confuse it with any other car from the German marque. It comes with a horizontal grille, sleek LED DRLs, a long bonnet and a low-slung stance to give it more character. The two-door convertible comes in a 2+2 seating configuration.
Inside, it gets AMG line interiors and the cabin features a driver-centric layout with a portrait-style 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. It also gets 64-colour ambient lighting, a 17-speaker Burmester sound system, a heads-up display, and a wireless phone charger.

Under the hood is a 2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 258 PS and 400 Nm. It also gets a hybrid assist which adds 23 PS and 205 Nm. This setup is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and the CLE Cabriolet has an electronically limited speed of 250 kmph.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe is a rival to the Porsche Macan and the Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet will take on the BMW Z4.
