Another New Lamborghini For India, this one’s as desirable, exciting, and modern as a Lambo should be! With the new powertrain, it sprints from 0-100 kmph in just…

Firstly, a goodbye to the Huracan, which has been one of the most popular Lamborghinis in India, finding a way into the homes of many popular celebrities and top businessmen of the country.

The Huracan’s successor on our shores is the Temerario, launched at Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom). It is the new-gen Lambo in the true sense, positioned below the flagship Revuelto on our shores. The Temerario gets a plug-in hybrid powertrain, making it the second supercar from the Sant’Agata Bolognese carmaker to get the hybrid system.

Wonder what’s new and different about the Temerario? Well, here’s a look…

Designed To Turn Heads

The Temerario is another Lambo, which is an ideal candidate for your bedroom poster. Its design is modern and elegant while being sporty and gorgeous to look at! With plenty of new design elements, the Temarario’s design is in line with modern Lamborghini models while retaining the charm of the Huracan.

The front end sports sleek headlights placed above the unique-looking hexagon-shaped LED DRLs. The bonnet features sharp cuts and creases for a sporty and aggressive look.

The silhouette looks very aerodynamic, which, along with the sharp side skirts, supports the aerodynamics and simultaneously increases downforce. It features striking 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear.

The middle section of the rear end looks busy and is flanked by hexagonal tail lights. The centrally mounted rear exhaust further adds to the sporty appeal.

Overall, the design looks new and eye-catching while staying true to its roots. Compared to the Huracan, the design has been made sharper and more aggressive.

Interior

The Temerario’s interior has been inspired by Revuelto, featuring a similar dashboard design and layout. However, we are not complaining, as the interior of the Temerario provides the perfect combination of sophistication and flamboyance. There are plenty of storage spaces that add a sense of practicality inside the supercar’s cabin. The interior is full of premium materials such as carbon fibre, leather and Corsatex by Dinamica suede. If you want the complete supercar experience, you can opt for the carbon fibre sports seats, which add to the sporty vibe of the interior. As with most Lamborghinis, the push start-stop button is fighter-jet inspired.

The flat-bottom steering wheel complements the supercar’s nature, and the large screens add to the modern appeal.

Feature-loaded

The modern cabin features many top-notch amenities to keep the driver and passenger comfortable and safe throughout the journey. The top features include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system (portrait style) and a 9.1-inch passenger entertainment screen. For convenience and comfort, the driver gets an 18-way adjustable seat, which is both heated and ventilated.

Safety is taken care of by ABS with EBD, multiple airbags, front and rear parking sensors, TPMS and a bunch of ADAS features.

More Powerful But…

It misses out on the goodness of the V10, which was there in the Huracan! The powertrain features a 4-litre V8 engine paired with three electric motors. The engine alone produces 800 PS and 730 Nm, but with the help of the electric motors, the combined output increases to 920 PS and 800 Nm. Over 900 PS in an entry-level Lambo! Supercars have truly come a long way.

Interestingly, it is around 40 percent more powerful than the Huracan, which used to churn out 640 PS. Moreover, it is also around half a second quicker than the Huracan, which is a big difference in supercar comparisons. While being quicker, it also reduces CO2 emissions by up to 50 percent compared to the Huracan.

With so much power on tap, it reaches 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds. The Temerario maxes out at 340 kmph. The powertrain features an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the engine redlines at 10,000 rpm!

As with many modern supercars, there is a bit of electrification happening here as well. The electric motors are powered by a 3.8 kWh battery pack, which can be recharged in just 30 minutes! The battery pack can also be recharged from the regenerative braking system or directly from the V8 engine.

Price And Rivals

The Lamborghini Temerario is priced at Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom), about Rs 2 crore more than the Huracan, which was last priced from Rs 4 crore to Rs 4.99 crore. It competes with the McLaren 750s and the Ferrari 296 GTB.

Just a decade ago, supercars were seen on our roads every once in a blue moon. But that has changed, especially in the past few years, and some credit also goes to the automakers that now offer plenty of options in India, giving buyers a wide range of options. The Temerario begins a new chapter for the Italian marque in India, hoping to carry the Hurcan’s legacy forward! Do you like it more than the Huracan? Let us know in the comments.
