Hyundai records year-on-year growth of 5.68% in the first half 2024
SUVs accounted for 66% of the total sales in H1 2024
The Creta recorded sales of 91,348 units in the first half of 2024, accounts for 23.6% of total sales (including exports) during the same period
Creta accounts for nearly 30% of all domestic sales in H1 2024
The Hyundai Creta 2024 was launched at the start of this year, nearly a couple of weeks into 2024. Ever since, it has been a story of milestones with the SUV raking in huge orders constantly. As we now cross the halfway point of 2024, Hyundai has just revealed its H1 sales figures, which have seen an year-on-year growth of 5.68% with its SUVs accounting for nearly 66% of all sales in the year.
Amongst those SUVs, Creta has played a significant role in helping the carmaker achieve this feat as it recorded sales of 91,348 units in the first half of 2024. That number accounts for 23.6% of the total sales made by Hyundai (including exports) during the same time period and nearly 30% of all domestic sales.

These numbers are impressive, but don’t really come as a surprise for the Creta. Even before its update, the nameplate was amongst the highest selling within its segment, and the facelift has just dialed up the appeal of the Creta.
The 2024 Hyundai Creta gets modern styling elements with LED DRLs and connected LED tail lights.

It also gets a fresh cabin layout, which boasts dual 10.25-inch screens integrated on the same bezel. It gets a very heavy features list too, with equipment like ventilated seats, dual zone climate control and even ADAS.

Further widening its appeal is the availability of three engines: a NA petrol, a turbo-petrol and a diesel. Each engine is available with multiple manual and automatic transmission options and there’s also a sportier N Line derivative of the Creta. Hyundai retails the new Creta between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 20.44 lakh.

It fends off competition from the likes of the Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, MG Astor, Tata Harrier, Honda Elevate, and select variants of the Mahindra XUV700.
