TVS has launched the 2024 Apache RR 310 with various updates. But, how different is it from the Apache RTR 310? Let’s have a look:
The TVS Apache RR 310 gets an aggressive and muscular design language and the front fairing’s styling looks very well integrated with the rest of the bike. The 2024 model gets winglets attached to the bike’s fairing which make the bike look more aggressive than the previous model.
The Apache RTR 310 gets a very aggressive design as well but with sharper design lines than the RR 310, which suits the RTR 310’s streetfighter nature. The split-headlight design looks very unique and the bike has a very striking road presence overall.
Both bikes are powered by the same 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, reverse-inclined engine. In the 2024 Apache RR 310, the motor produces 38PS at 9800rpm and 29Nm at 7900rpm with a claimed top speed of 164kmph while in the RTR 310, it produces 35.6PS at 9700rpm and 28.7Nm at 6650rpm with a claimed top speed of 150kmph. Both bikes get a slip-and-assist clutch and quickshifter.

The TVS Apache RR 310 gets a suspension setup consisting of an inverted fork and a monoshock while braking duties are taken care of by a 300mm front disc brake and a 240mm rear disc brake (petal units at both ends) setup with dual-channel ABS as standard. It gets a 110-section front and 150-section rear Michelin Road 5 tyres with 17-inch wheels at both ends. The wheelbase stands at 1365mm, seat height is 180mm and the ground clearance is 180mm. The supersport gets a kerb weight of 174kg and a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres.
The Apache RTR 310’s suspension setup, braking setup along with the tyre and wheel setup are the same as that of the RR 310. The streetfighter has a wheelbase of 1358mm, ground clearance of 180mm, kerb weight of 169kg and a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres.
The TVS Apache RR 310 gets a vertically mounted 5-inch TFT instrument console while the RTR 310 gets a horizontally mounted TFT instrument console. Both get Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The RTR 310’s console gets 5 display themes and you can connect helmet communication devices and your GoPro with it. Both bikes get all-LED lighting. The bikes get four riding modes: Sport, Track, Urban and Rain. The RTR 310 gets an additional Supermoto mode that switches off the rear ABS.
The bi-directional quickshifter is available as standard on the Bomber Grey colour option on the RR 310 and the Fury Yellow colour option on the RTR 310. The Racing Red and Arsenal Black colours on the RR 310 and the RTR 310 get a quickshifter variant that cost Rs 17,000 and Rs 18,000 extra respectively over the ones without it.
Both the RR 310 and the RTR 310 get Dynamic and Dynamic Pro Kits as optional packages. The Dynamic Kit consists of a fully adjustable front and rear suspension setup, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a brass coated chain. It costs an additional Rs 18,000 for both bikes. The Dynamic Pro Kit consists of a 6-axis IMU system with cornering traction control, cruise control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, slope dependent control and rear lift off control. The RTR 310 gets an additional climate-controlled seat in this package. It costs an additional Rs 16,000 for both bikes. The RTR 310 gets another Colour Kit which consists of the Sepang Blue colour scheme and costs an additional Rs 10,000 over the bike’s price tag.
Here’s how much the TVS Apache RR 310 and the RTR 310 costs:

As you can see above, the Apache RR 310 is the more expensive of the two. It is also more powerful than the RTR 310 but the streetfighter is more feature-loaded. So, choosing between the two comes down to one’s own preferences and priority. If you want a sub-350cc supersport bike with good power and torque output and a pretty good features list, then the 2024 TVS Apache RR 310 is the one for you. On the other hand, if you want a streetfighter that offers good performance figures and a very extensive features list, then the RTR 310 is the one for you.
